DAY 01: LIMA

Airport reception and transfer to the hotel. Check-in and time to rest.

Accommodation in Lima.

DAY 02: PACHACAMAC ARCHAEOLOGICAL SANCTUARY & COLONIAL AND MODERN LIMA CITY TOUR

Breakfast.

09:40 AM: Tour begins in Barranco, one of the smallest districts and Lima's bohemian quarter. We will view its main square, the Bridge of Sighs (Puente de los Suspiros), the Chabuca Granda monument, the Hermitage (La Ermita), and the Bajada de Baños walkway. Next, we pass through Chorrillos; the district’s name alludes to the trickles (*chorrillos*) of fresh groundwater flowing from the cliffs toward Agua Dulce Beach, as well as its history as a fishing village—officially named San Pedro de los Chorrillos. Later, we visit the Pachacamac Sanctuary, which was the most important sanctuary on the coast for over 2,200 years during the pre-Hispanic period. Its prestige stemmed largely from its oracle, consulted by *curacas* (local leaders) and chieftains who traveled from across ancient Peru on long pilgrimages as part of a grand Andean ritual. Approx. 02:40 PM: Tour begins at Huaca Pucllana, offering a panoramic view of this important ceremonial center belonging to the Lima culture. We head toward Lima's city center, passing through the districts of San Isidro, Lince, and Cercado. We will view the Palace of Justice, the Lima Museum, the Italian Art Museum, the French Palace, and Plaza San Martín. Our walking tour then begins at the Plaza de Armas; here, in addition to viewing the Lima Cathedral, the Municipal Palace, the Government Palace, and the Archbishop's Palace, we will have free time to take photos of the landmarks. We will enter the Convent of Santo Domingo, which houses the relics of three Peruvian saints: Saint Rose of Lima, Saint Martin de Porres, and Saint John Macias. Finally, we will enjoy a panoramic view of the Park of Love (Parque del Amor), the Pacific Ocean, and Larcomar. Return to the hotel. Overnight in Lima.

(*) Important: The Pachacamac Archaeological Sanctuary is open only on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.

DAY 03: DEPARTURE FROM LIMA

Once the agency informs the client about the recommendation to contract insurance for the trip, it is the client who can contract insurance with the agency, or contract it directly with whoever they want.
