Day 01 - Cartagena – Sunset by the Bay

Arrival in the city of Cartagena, assistance at Rafael Núñez International Airport and transfer to the hotel for check-in. Accommodation.

In the afternoon, assistance at the hotel for transfer to the pier for a tour around the Bay of Cartagena De Indias to appreciate the sunset. Upon completion, return to the hotel. Accommodation.

Day 03 - Cartagena – Rosario Islands (Island of Enchantment) in shared service

Breakfast at the Hotel. Just one hour by speedboat from Cartagena, the island paradise of Hotel Isla del Encanto Barú welcomes you to enjoy a day of relaxation at Hotel Isla del Encanto. Transfer to the hotel. Accommodation.

Day 04 - Cartagena – Barranquilla – City Tour

Breakfast at the hotel. At the agreed time, overland transfer to the city of Barranquilla. Arrival and check-in at the hotel.

Duration approx: 2 ½ hours

At the indicated time, pick-up at the hotel of accommodation. We will learn about the history behind traditional places such as the El Prado neighborhood and the charm of its architecture, mansions, houses, streets, and its iconic hotel, with more than 90 years of history, a lodging place for prestigious international figures. We will learn why Barranquilla was nicknamed the “Golden Gate” of Colombia, a pioneer in aviation, and the history behind Founders Park. We will pass by the Casa del Carnaval, the official headquarters of the country’s most important festival, and visit the Carnival Museum to observe its different collections with elements related to this great celebration. We will continue to the Amira de la Rosa Theater; the open-air graffiti exhibition, and you will recognize the “Edgar Rentería” Baseball Stadium, one of the most important sports venues in the city. We will also get to know the Plaza de la Aduana complex, made up of Plaza de la Locomotive, Montoya Station, and the Tram Station; we will pass by the Fluvial Intendancy, a cultural heritage site of Barranquilla, and finally end with a panoramic view of Ventana al Mundo and Ventana de Campeones, all the way to the Gran Malecón del Río, to enjoy firsthand the best view of the Magdalena River.

Day 5 Barranquilla – Gabo's Footprints in Barranquilla

Breakfast at the hotel. At the indicated time, pick-up at the hotel of accommodation. During the tour, we will learn how Gabo lived in 1950 and the places that were part of his daily routine, such as the famous New York “skyscraper” (where he spent his nights) and the area where the Mundo bookstore and Café Colombia were located, while walking along the streets of Paseo de Bolívar in downtown Barranquilla. We will also visit the most emblematic sites of the city, such as the Church of San Nicolás; the Church of Perpetual Help, where he married his wife Mercedes Barcha; the Fluvial Intendancy; and the statue of García Márquez located in the Caribbean Cultural Park. In addition, we will tour the El Prado neighborhood, one of the areas with the greatest tradition and known for being the place of romantic dates between Gabo and Mercedes. Later, we will arrive at the former headquarters of Fine Arts, founded by Pedro Biava, an Italian who arrived in Barranquilla and inspired the character of Pietro Crespi in his book One Hundred Years of Solitude, not before visiting the restaurant La Cueva, a place honoring our Nobel Prize winner and the culinary richness of the Colombian Caribbean. Day 6 Barranquilla – Santa Marta – City Tour

Breakfast at the hotel. At the agreed time, we will travel by land to the city of Santa Marta. Arrival and check-in at the hotel.

At the indicated time, pick-up at the hotel lobby to start the tour. We will get to know Santa Marta, the oldest city in South America, on a tour full of history, culture, and Caribbean landscapes. Visit its main attractions, from the historic center to the Quinta de San Pedro Alejandrino. Discover the magic of this Caribbean gem! Return to the hotel and accommodation.

Day 07 Santa Marta - Tayrona Natural Park - Neguanje, Playa Cristal

The tour starts early from Santa Marta towards Tayrona National Natural Park through the Neguanje entrance. We will visit the 7 Waves viewpoint, then take a boat from Playa Neguanje to Playa Cristal (10 minutes), where you can enjoy the beach, have lunch (not included), and practice snorkeling (additional cost). The return will be at 2:30 pm, arriving in Santa Marta at 5:30 pm. Arrival at the hotel and accommodation.

Duration: 8 hours.

INCLUSION INSURANCE IN COMBINED TRAVEL RESERVATIONS


With regard to our inclusion insurance, said insurance exclusively includes those people who have their residence and origin of the trip in Spain or Portugal.


CHAPTER I (Obligations of information and content of the combined travel contract), Article 153 (Pre-contractual information), point 1, section H:


"1. Before the traveler is bound by any package travel contract or corresponding offer, the organizer, and also the retailer, when the package is sold through the latter, will provide the traveler with the form with the standard information regarding to the package trip that appears in annex II, A or B, as well as the following information that is applicable to the package trip:

"h) Information on the subscription of an optional insurance that covers the expenses originated in the event that the traveler decides to terminate the contract or the expenses of assistance, including those of repatriation, in case of accident, illness or death."



Said section refers to the obligation to inform the client of the possibility of contracting insurance, not to the obligation to include insurance on the trip, that is, the client has the power (option) to contract insurance with the agency or not. . The agency has the obligation to inform that it is recommended that the client take out insurance that includes, at least, issues such as repatriation,... which is basically inclusion insurance.


Once the agency informs the client about the recommendation to contract insurance for the trip, it is the client who can contract insurance with the agency, or contract it directly with whoever they want.
